چکیده
Abstract The major earthquake events on August 2, 2019, and January 14, 2022, which devastated Banten City, gave an warning to the surrounding area, including Cilegon City. As area with several vital infrastructures, such as Merak Port, chemical factories, steel industries, power plants, City requires a seismic study that can provide information for planning retrofitting of building structures. In this study, analysis will be carried out using Scenario Seismic Hazard Analysis (SSHA) calculate bedrock acceleration. sources modelled include source Semangko Graben, Cimandiri Sunda Strait Megathrust Segment. This provides conclusions, included (1) results SSHA produced maximum PGA value 0.05 - 0.1 g, 0.00 g 0.3 0.4 Segment respectively. So, City’s infrastructure layout system must located designed in minimum ground existing buildings also need re-analyzed based hazard map.

Poisson model for earthquake frequency uncertainties in seismic hazard analysis
Frequency-magnitude distributions, and their associated uncertainties, are of key importance in statistical seismology. When fitting these distributions , the assumption of Gaussian residuals is invalid since event numbers are both discrete and of unequal variance. In general, the observed number in any given magnitude range is described by a binomial distribution which, given a large total num...
متن کاملA review of earthquake occurrence models for seismic hazard analysis
A large number of probabilistic earthquake occurrence models are currently available for seismic hazard assessment. This paper reviews the basic assumptions of the various models, summarizes their stochastic representations and discusses the parameters needed for applications. While the Poisson model is one of the most commonly used in practice it is limited in its representation of the physica...
متن کاملSeismic-Hazard Assessment for a Characteristic Earthquake Scenario: An Integrated Probabilistic–Deterministic Method
Probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) is classically performed through the Cornell approach by using a uniform earthquake distribution over the source area and a given magnitude range. This study aims at extending the PSHA approach to the case of a characteristic earthquake scenario associated with an active fault. The approach integrates PSHA with a high-frequency deterministic techniqu...
متن کاملThe 1909 Taipei earthquake—implication for seismic hazard in Taipei
S U M M A R Y The 1909 April 14 Taiwan earthquake caused significant damage in Taipei. Most of the information on this earthquake available until now is from the written reports on its macro-seismic effects and from seismic station bulletins. In view of the importance of this event for assessing the shaking hazard in the present-day Taipei, we collected historical seismograms and station bullet...
